Unfortunately, the shoe doesn't "fit."

Oh, I wish I could recommend Toms Shoes.  The concept behind them is so amazing:  Buy a pair, give a pair -- to a child in need.  Since May of 2006, this caring organization has given more than 60,000 pairs of shoes to children in Argentina and South Africa.  What a worthy cause!

I looked at the shoes on-line and was tempted to order, even though they are a bit pricey.  But, I discovered that there was a local store that sold them, so I went to have a look.

I was terribly disappointed.

This picture is taken through the store window, but I think you can see what I mean.  First, they are not attractive to me (I'm being polite...I think they are "butt ugly."), second they look "homemade."  They might be comfortable, but I would not wear those out of the house!

Such a pity.  However, I think my money would be better spent by just donating to the cause.  Unfortunately, I didn't see immediately on the site how to do that.
